Looks like the cream is starting to rise to the top in 3A football across the state, or is it??? Let's hear about your district and region for further analysis and comments. I know in Region 2 there is still much left to be determined. Are some teams still improving while others are losing ground? What effect are injuries having on these final games for a playoff spot? Who has surprised and who looks to be going south?

At 3 wins and 4 losses, Monahans is definitely "down" from its record of the past several years; but the Loboes are far better than their record suggests. The combined win-loss record of the 4 teams that have beat the Loboes this year is 27 wins and 2 losses (Wylie 7-0; Canyon Randall 7-0; Canyon 6-1 losing only to Randall; and Midland Christian 7-1) and they aren't about to go out on a losing note. Monahans starts its winning streak this Friday and will win out to finish 2nd in District behind a superior Wylie team.We are not ranked in top 20 0r even in top 10 in our Region but we will make it 3 rounds deep again come playoff time

8 3A - LH has falling off a cliff without a parachute.
gatesville looks to be a force as the #1 team out of 8 3A
Brownwood seems to be improving weekly. But probably won't make much noise come playoff time.
after the top 2 teams 8 3a is not very good. Just some mediocre teams playing each other in some close games. IMO

Going to be a tough draw for 8 3A matching up with 7 3A in round 1.
