Mustangs should be able to work in backups throughout this game. No disrespect to Robstown, but they have had lots of trouble putting up points and keeping other teams from scoring. That is a bad combo.

This is Ingleside's Homecoming. Probably going to be a very lopsided game. Ingleside by as many as they want.

Last year Barajas threw 8 td's in this game, hopefully he gets his 4 td's and they switch him out even if it's early, but this will be a good game to get his timing down with his recievers. The first quarter against Oso was horrible we had like 6 dropped passes.

LOL I still crack up thinking of the pre-season interviews with Robstown...one kid was worried about Sinton before even playing a game...nevermind that we were their last game of the season! :doh:

They sure did fall far from those first 2 years they were in 3A. They have always been a baseball town though so that might have a lot to do with it.

You would think that being a big 3A they could develop a football program better than what they have.

He turned it around and was able to show Robstown had some good players just needed the right coaching.

Coach Woods was a good coach and those kids played with a lot of heart under him.

Ingleside wins a close one 21 to 14 with a late td in the fourth quarter. You have to remember that in 1954 Robstown was in a final 3 way tie for district with Freer and Falfurrias when only one team could advance which was Freer in a coin flip. Remember Robstown had beat Freer that year and Freer was a team that reached the semifinals that year. That makes this game very risky for Ingleside.

I hope you are right. Might see some of the bench getting some play time in the first half if it gets to be a runaway. I have seen Coach Hesseltine do that in prior years.

Even in Giddings, seldom experiencing losses, we can take them in stride. You win some you lose some. You should understand than of all people.

All messing aside, you guys will win this one easily. Does that make you feel better that an old Giddings Buffalo fan thinks you are going to win a game. What was yall's score with sinton anyway, I don't even know how that game went.

Congrats Mustangs, it wasn't pretty but it worked. Looked like they were playing possum with some of the play calling. The offense is suspect sometimes but the defense is stout they are gonna need to play a sound game if they wanna go into OG and win the district title out right.

Marquis had over 200 yards on 20 carries and 4 TD's. Tristen was 16-22 for 248 with two td's but also threw two picks. The two posessions inside of the five in the first half that we didn't score on hurt a little. The game would have been 60-0 if we had punched those in. No punts on the night (only one in last three games). Almost 500 yards of total offense after over 500 last week so I think we will be ok as long as we hold on to the ball.

We also lost one of our leading tacklers in Hernandez, who from what I hear dislocated his shoulder he's also a back up running back and a very valuable asset to the team, not sure how long he will be out.
