Smithville's defense and hfa gets them a 14 point win. Smithville needs to win this game to have a chance for the third slot while Cuero remains a long shot.

Smithville dern sure has the HGPA (home gravel pit advantage). Gob's might consider practicing this week on the parking lot, with flashlights, to prepare for the Barry Field experience. Take the north goal post option on the coin flip. Watch for the gravel on the tundra too.:thmbdwn:

I like the Gobblers chances this game if the defense plays up to their abilities, they can win.

I think Cuero put's it all together this week on the road and keep's the playoff light flickering. Barry Field is a rough place to play for sure, but--I think the Gob's pride carries them here and win's, 35-31. Hope they fixed the goal post's?

Heard Cuero won. Was down early, pulled away in 2nd half. Don't recall score.

Thanks YT this is a huge win for Cuero keeping playoff hopes alive. It appears that Smithville has crumped after two closely fought losses going into tonight's game. The Tigers are a quality team and would be contending for district champions in some of the other districts in our region. Just how it sorts out I guess. Congratulations to the Gobblers in getting back on a winning track.

I had the feeling The Gobblers would wake up on defense. They've been able to move the ball, but the defense has kept the other teams in the game.
