I think they may have overdone it just a tad, wouldn't you agree? How about just punting it back on 1st down. The team I was on in high school actually did that one night in a game. I think we punted on 1st about 4 times against CC Miller.....true story. It was a real beat down. When we got up 63-0 in the 3rd, the coach had us punt it back to them....crazy! And our backups on D never let them score, and they had a hard time making 1st downs. They went home crying, but when they showed up on our field to start the game...they were bigshotting it cuz they were a larger classification and thought they'd whack us. Surprise, surprise, surprise!!! The game ended 63-0. I'll never forget the looks on those players faces when they had to shake our hands.....total humility.
