College basketball fans...I can not wait until basketball season comes around this year! The University of North Texas Mean Green are a dangerous team this year. Lead by Pre-Season All-American Tony Mitchell, this team could break the top 25. Check out these highlights from Monday's Midnight Madness:

UNT has a great college hoops venue...I would strongly recommend anyone in the northern part of DFW to go check out a game or two...not expensive at all

cant wait!!!! i remember we used to play one or two games a yr in houston... the 2 yrs ive been in houston 0.. and we happen to be good

Ahhh - my old alma matta, wish they would have had any kind of good sports program when I was going to school there. Bout there only claim to fame then was hosting the movie production of some film that Sinbad was in, Necessary roughness, I think?

Glad to hear they are doing well.

Yes, Necessary Roughness was filmed my freshman year at North Texas. I actually was in a couple of the crowd scenes in the movie and got to meet the cast. Good times!

Was in second year of Grad school, then. Had a lot of fun living up there. Spent a lot of time out of Ray Roberts. Had a great experience there and met lots of really good folks. New stadium and all, sounds like the football program is taking off some too.
