That is a very bold pre-diction. I was just wondering: how is the Llano team doing this year? I know they have a few losses but that is about all I know. Llano has been playing Burnet for a while now and I am sure that they will develop some game plan focused on Shipley/McGee which is where they will fall.

Warner is averaging about the same as Shipley per catch! I don't think he is as shifty as Shipley, but flat out down the field he's real close. He was a huge pain to Marlin.

I'm a little concerned about this game. Burnet could be rusty and Llano could be pumped. It makes Llano's season if they beat Burnet. Llano has good size up-front and thier JV last year was pretty good (they beat the Burnet JV last year). You have to understand that Llano hates Burnet, whereas Burnet only dislikes Llano. It is my understanding that the banner with the circle and bar across Burnet still hangs in the hall at Llano High School. I hope the Bulldogs are ready for a fanatical effort by Llano.

Heck, I am just hoping for a good game. It would be great if Llano takes Burnet deep into the 4th, but I don't see it. Would like to see Burnet's first team HAVE to play a full 4 quarters. Good luck to both teams!

And although Burnet got a little help from from last year's JV, the majority of their starters played against Llano last year, and the year before that.

yeah well i think that just looks trashy.....llano talks so much crap last year as we were marching there cheerleaders were talking crap and there fans were throwing things come on yall grow up...we just dont like them but hey a rival is fun isnt it!!!

The score last year was 35-0 at half and 35-0 at the end of the game. Llano was the only team in District to hold Burnet's first team offense to 0 points for an entire quarter. I don't think Llano can score on Burnet's defense. I predict another 35-0 score. I also predict this will be the smallest number of points scored by Burnet this year in District. I also predict that Wimberly and Llano will be the 2 Div. 2 Playoff teams from District 25AAA.

Kinda funny, but it hit home because tues night I called a game where they gave a team one point for running, 2 points for kicking and 3 for a pass on the conversion try.

The new rule that our junior highs have been playing under is 1 point for running or passing and 2 points for kicking, to encourage the coaches to practice the kicking game. Never heard of the 3 for passing. I would rather see the 3 and 2 points reversed to encourage the kicking conversion in the junior high level.
