ATM is going to get humbled in front of 87,000 and ESPN Gameday. There offense is horrible and they have no prayer of slowing down Suggs and Jones.

Only Texas would let V-tech score 49 points if they met. The Aggies have the "real deal" defense this year, and the offense will come around. Maybe you mean that 49 is the rushing total that Jones and Suggs will have Saturday!

I am also Class of 89 and I have to agree with GoOrange until the Aggies prove otherwise. Back in 84 was the beginning of the Aggie's modern success. They always had a strong defense and even though they didn't have a "Steve Spurier" offense, they always had somebody that could get the job done like Keven Murray or Bucky Richardson. Not only that they had a running game that was salty. This current team has no offensive identity one way or the other. So far they can neither run nor pass effectively. Virginia Tech has a stout defense. Much better than Lousiana Lafayette or Pitt. Unless something happens to jumpstart our offense they will dominate when they are on defense. As good as our defense is it is too much to ask them to not only hold VT to no or low points but to also score points as well. I believe that it is possible for A&M to beat VT, but they will have to play much, much better than they have played the past two games to do it.

The should start Reggie McNeel. Ferris isn't consistent and can't run the ball if he gets in trouble.

I would kinda like to see A&M's offense struggle a little early, just to see if RC will put Reggie Mcneal in. Either way I think their D bails them out again.

After watching Jason Carter in 30 high school football games as a starting QB, I don't believe he will ever get the chance to prove his worth as a passer in the shadows of a school the recruited too many QBs causing it to spread itself too thin. Carter has tossed 70 yard TD's and has an awesome arm. If Caldwell would have had decent receivers when he was there in his final year, no telling what could have happened. I think teammates made fun of the fact that he was from a small town and never really gave the guy a chance - which sucks because of how they PRESSURED him into signing with them with all sorts of guarantees of not recruiting a QB every five minutes. Farris is an old fogey now and Long is not as good as Carter in throwing. McNeal is very good, but will end up going pro after two years and leave A&M high and dry. Then they will regret shafting Carter.
