Here's the best won/loss records in Region 2 so far:

1. Princeton 7-0
1. Gainesville 7-0
1. Krum 7-0
4. Kilgore 5-0
5. Celina 6-1
5. Gilmer 6-1
5. Lone Star 6-1
5. Anna 6-1
9. Argyle 5-1
9. Canton 5-1
9. Bullard 5-1
9. Van 5-1

That's twelve teams with one loss or less that have played at least 5 games. There may be some teams that end up in the mix come playoff time with 3 or more losses, but for now this is what it looks like for teams with the best records in Region 2.

As you can see, there's no real point in picking 1-12 when you have so many teams within earshot of each other on wins. If I had to pick the very best team in this region, I would probably pick Celina.....just like I said early in the year. Now they have made the adjustments to the spread, and are using it in conjunction with their power running game. With a qb that can pass and run like a rb, and recievers that can catch and run, this kind of offense is tough to stop. And it lends itself to quick-strike, big-play capablities with both the pass and the run. Gilmer has work to do, as does Argyle. Gainesville, Van, Lone Star, and Bullard are dangerous. Kilgore and Princeton are quality. Canton, Anna, and Krum are surprisingly good. I hope this clears us the picture in Region 2 a bit more. Then there's always Henderson, Paris, and N. Lamar that could become a factor. All of these teams I've mentioned IMO are very much in the playoff picture to go several rounds deep. We shall see......
