With district starting most teams have worked out who and where each kid will play.
What does your team bring to the table?
Graham has 21 Seniors ,13 Juniors and 6 Sophmores.
Offensive players mostly = 8 Sr and 3 Jr.
Defensive players mosty = 4 Sr, 4 Jr and 3 sophmores.

Just wondering what others have.

Varsity: 3 Soph; 12 Juniors; 30 Seniors
Offense: 5 Srs, 4 Jrs, 2 Sophs
Defense: 5 Srs, 6 Jrs

On Both O and D there are several packages that are platooned in and out, but these are the main group.

What's depth?:crying:

A few over the 3A cutoff last 4 years, we don't have much of that stuff.

Sinton has about 4 freshman and several sophmores for depth. Some have seen action due injuries from some starters.

Yea some teams just don't have enough players for depth.

98, glad you joined us on the 3aDL... Why is everybody on Smoaky so offended by any positive statements about any non east Texas team?

A lot of them have never travelled west of Tyler, so it is impossible for them to believe that good football exists out there.

Argyle has the following on Varsity:

11 Srs.
25 Jrs.
5 Sophs.

No player starts both ways. Lots of platooning. Most players play some every game....special teams, platooning, mop up. That's the way we've always done it since day one ten years ago. The staff tries to keep some decent players on the JV so they can get lots of experience. We also have a freshman team. Participation is very high at Argyle considering our enrollment is only 660. Some JV players are moved up when the JV season ends.

We 2-platoon 100% also. No going both ways.

We've got a couple of corners that we'll rotate in at WR from time to time. Our fullback does go both ways as he is also one of our DE's. Our MLB will line up at TE occasionally.

8 Soph - Just pulled a kicker up. Not sure what class he's in.

Offensive starter: 5 Sr; 5 Jr; 1 Soph (QB)
Defensive starters: 5 Sr; 4 Jr; 2 Soph - have had quit a few injuries so this hasn't been real consistent.
Pretty much 2 platoon - just rotate guys in and out to give the starters a breather - or in a lot of cases to pull the starters for some one on one coaching..LOL

Kicker is a sophmore. Since beginning of season, 2 sophs starting on D. Last two games, 3 sophs starting on D as one of the secondary guys was out (Denson) - He was dressed out last game, but I think they were giving him more time to heal - probably plays tomorrow. On O line - last game half way through, one of the tackles went out and big Jake went in (soph and biggest kid on the team - 250+++, 6-3).

Liberty Hill wiill be looking good for the next several years. A lot of young guys getting good experience the and players that are JV/Fresh now.. Look out LH will be coming back with a vengence!
