My Top Ten for Region 2 for Week 6:

1. Kilgore
2. Celina
3. Princeton
4. Van
5. Argyle
6. Henderson
7. Gilmer
8. Bullard
9. Gainesville
10. Frisco Lone Star/Krum

I would love to see Krum against Frisco Lone Star, but my gut feeling tells me Lone Star would put them away by the end of the 3rd. If Gainsesville can get by Decatur this week, they are not pretenders. Anna(4-1) somehow beat Lone Star(4-1) in Week 4 in a tight game 33-27. Melissa has lost 2 games, one to 2A Gunter and one to Paris. I think by Week 10 Lone Star will be much better. They are pretty darn good right now.

Here's the records so far:
Kilgore 5-0
Celina 5-1
Princeton 6-0
Van 4-1
Argyle 5-1
Henderson 3-2
Gilmer 5-1
Bullard 4-1
Gainesville 6-0
Frisco Lone Star 4-1/Krum 6-0

Henderson lost to a good Hallsville(4A) team by 1 pt. Hallsville also gave Van their only loss. Plano Prestonwood beat Henderson and Gilmer. Gilmer could be better than Henderson, but they are younger. By Friday nite at 11 pm will should know.

Negatory...Hennason & Gilmer play @ 7:30PM Saturday evening @ Lobo Stadium in Longview...I say that this will produce the District Champion.

So you must have seen Kilgore play, and were not that impressed, right? Kilgore only beat Bullard 27-14, but maybe Bullard is stronger than you think. Not sure about any of the teams over in 16 3-A this season. No one team seems dominant over the others, but that is the case almost yearly.

lol. Gilmer gave up more points to lowly Chapel Hill the other night than Kilgore has given up all year. There may be a district contender playing Saturday night..... but it ain't Gilmer.

We need at least 1 more vote here for it to count. You have about another hour or so.
