Vs.

Monahans(2-2)
L 42-28 to Midland Christian
L 34-14 to Canyon Randall
W 47-0 over Fort Stockton
W 47-0 over Kermit

I'm reasonably sure MC is a decent team, but I don't know enough about the rest to say if a win/loss by either team is a gauge of which one will win this one..

I am on record as being skeptical when Monahans was picked to win our district, but I do know from annual scrimmages with Wylie (up until this year) they are well coached and play hard nosed West Texas style football..

There are only a couple of Monahans posters and none of them are very active here anymore...and of course no Canyon posters.

I'm curious to see how this one turns out. I think Monahans is probably better than their record shows. They usually are.

The Loboes have lost to 2 superior teams. Midland Christian probably will repeat as TAAPS state champion. 4A Canyon Randall was bigger, stronger, and faster. This week, we are again outnumbered by a much larger 4A team. We could well be 2-3 going into district play. Regardless, the Loboes are for real and will be competitive in district. You may beat us, but you'll know you've been in a game. By the end of the regular season, this years team will be as every bit as good as last years.

All four of Canyon's wins are against average to awful panhandle teams and Monahans' two losses are to Midland Christian and Canyon Randall who are no slouches. I'll say Monahans by 10
