I would be happy with a turnover free game and a balanced attack on offense. We already know we can run the ball but its time to start mixing it up in the passing game. I know I sound like a broken record but I think using our backs out of the backfield is something that could make us a lot more unpredictable. Hardy, Mcneil, and Walraven can all catch and run effectively especially Hardy. 35 - 0 sounds good to me.

I'm thinking Decatur has turned the corner and is now finding out what they are capable of. Should make this game interesting, but I wouldn't be calling for a blowout either way here. This will more than likely be a very good game and close all the way. I wouldn't count out the Eagles just yet. They do have some weapons and a good qb. Don't know much about their D, but turnovers can sometimes make the difference. I'm guessing Alvarado will try to pass more this week, and that could get them into trouble.

Need to put in there that they have already faced the best back they will see all season in the Bridgeport kid but it's hard to do it with just one back.

An ankle injury is all we know so far. He was able to walk off the field friday on his own but you could tell he was in alot of pain. I have a few friends that have siblings in high school, I'll see what they can dig up on the injury. Gabe's a hell of a player, our offense takes a huge hit if he's out.

i dont know how the Varsity workout yesterday went...but i do know what happened at the Indian freshman workout..it wasnt pretty and it wasnt fun, my son came home as worn out as i have seen him this year..but at the same time he was pumped!

it may be because a lot of their really good underclassmen are playing on varsity..

Durable running backs are hard to find. Alvarado has been blessed the past 2 yrs. Looks like Alvarado had good practices this week. When we click on all cylinders. It's hard to beat us. Decatur will get a taste of the real deal. JMO. Gunna be some hard hits laid out Friday night. I feel we will have over 300 yds on the ground alone.

Decatur football program is on the rise..young this year, but building and getting better from what i have been able to surmise..
one impressive thing to note...the coach is old school class..has his team wear dress shirt and ties on game day.

Alvarado Freshman won 34-14..my son played well.

Alvarado JV last I saw was ahead 36-12 4:00 left in 3rd when I left to go get son @ high school.. I doubt our JV loses a game this year..they are above good!

Ha that is awesome! I hope that dosn't happen tonight. I think the visiting fans will like Decatur's field. It sets down in a bowl almost and has a neat look to it. Has always had the nicest turf around and the fans normally pack the stadium.

Two int's and a lost fumble. Started very slow. Decatur obviously saw what Connally did stacking the box and held us down pretty well the first quarter. Only scored 7 in the second half. Looked better but Decatur is not very good. Unfortunately Hillsboro is probably worse. We really need a much tougher schedule in pre-season. Stephenville and Glen Rose will prepare us for the playoffs. We still need to improve. Defense is playing pretty good. Were going to need them big time in district.

i would say that they are going to have to improve a lot if they expect to hang with SVille. We dropped several passes that the SVille will complete for big plays.
