20 points total scored against them in five games, 13 from 4A PNG and 7 from a very good Jasper team with less than a minute left in the game

Went 3-0 Against 20-4A and almost shutout a Jasper team that was averaging 52 points per game.. not as tough of a schedule as Sville but.... a solid schedule nonetheless. We shutout the team that hung 35 points on Coldspring

Their schedule is pretty tough compared to most 3As.
They also held #8 ranked (4A) Nederland in a game situation scrimmage to no offensive TD's.

The Venus (5-0) defense has only allowed 35 points in 5 games with 2 shutouts. Plus they have scored 171 points in 5 games.

No sweat, WOS1. Some of these homers are not easily impressed. So many posters on this board are tucked away in their little community corners and haven't seen (nor do they care) about other good teams around the state. That's what makes the occassional regional discussions on this site and the more frequent ones on other message boards more interesting because a high percentage of those posters share familiarity with the neighboring schools.

Hasn't WOS won a couple of 4A titles themselves? I doubt that they are "angry" about another school dropping down from 4A.

Have to admit I thought when we ( WO-S ) dropped to 3A it would be easy.After the first year it was clear these little old 3A teams can flat play some football.Some of these schools could compete in 4a also.
