The competition ends this coming Sunday unless it has rain delay. Right now it is exciting as the USA and Europe are tied at 2 each.

Man Tiger missed it my inches to get the score 5 1/2, 2 1/2. The intensity watching the Ryder Cup is absolutely awesome. USA up 2 after day one.

USA leads 9 to 4 so far but many more matches to go. If it doesn't rain it should conclude tomorrow. There are 28 matches with each team getting one point for each win and 1/2 point for each tie. In case of an overall 14 to 14 tie the cup is retained by the prior winner which in this case is Europe. USA needs 14 1/2 points to win it. Go USA!

USA gets another point to go up 10 to 4! We need 4 1/2 points to win it. Remember Europe retains the cup with an overall 14 tie even though a team would rather win it outright. Go USA!

Europe wins next to last match of the day to make it USA 10 Europe 5. Let's hope USA can get some points on last match or even though behind going into tomorrow Europe would have momentum. Come on USA! Let's not choke this good lead.

USA loses last match and it is USA 10 Europe 6 with USA needing 4 1/2 points in tomorrow's final day which has 12 matches. Let's go USA! Don't choke on this one. We still have a good lead but we must get 4.5 points tomorrow.

The USA found a way to blow the big lead and choke up as we now have to listen to Europe crow till next time. Final Europe 14 1/2 USA 13 1/2. A big choke up job indeed.

I knew we were screwed when Phil lost his match after nearly chipping in to close it out on 17, and then Furyk missed his putt for a half on 18. And for the record, I would really like to kick Ian Poulter in the nuts.
