Good show. I am not sold on Crawford. I'm not sure if they will even win their district. I agree with Cisco/Refugio in DII.

When you talk about defensive lines and how stephenville and navasota struggles against good run defenses. Well Carthage may have the best D line in the state. I was told they have only given up 134 rushing yards and that includes garbage yardage. When the secondary gets healthy could be the best in 3a.

Navasota has struggled with their offensive line including their run game and giving up sacks. We knew that would be an issue coming in to this season. However, most of that has come in the first quarter. After adjustments, the offensive line as done pretty well. Yes, we will need to improve considerably, especially if we want to be playing at Cowboys Stadium. So far, no one hasn't been able to stop Navasota's passing game. It will take a SOLID overall defense to stop us. I believe that we can and will get far with our passing game, continuing to move the chains, not turning the ball over, and playing solid defense. IMO, the defense is looking really good so far. Maybe not a lights out defense, but non the less, pretty solid. Losing All State LB Will Imhoff will hurt, but, I still think that we still have the play makers to keep our opponents off the score board.

Just hope you don't have to play in a monsoon before the SC.

How close are you guys to playing your best football?

We looked really good against Coldspring. As mentioned, Coldspring's defensive front may be one of the best in the state. IMO, Navasota hasn't had problems with their offense scoring points over the last 6 years, it has been the Rattler defense. This year, the defense is playing up to par with the offense. I guess time will tell exactly how good Navasota is or can be.

You are right about that. However, we still run the ball effectively when we need to.
