Can't see Giddings ahead of El Campo or Gonzales yet.

Watch out Hemo, it's lonely at the top....

Yeah, tell me about it. We lost an All State SR Linebacker with a broken leg on Firday. Hopefully, this isn't a sign of what's to come.

Congrats to Navasota! I heard their coach talking about the high ranking, he told his team to give credit & recognition to the past Navasota teams that made deep playoff runs. Their past success has paved the way for Navasota to recognized as one of the elite football programs in the state.

HEY! Thanks Bull's-Eye. Hopefully we can get that monkey off our back and get past the quarterfinals.

You are right. IMO, La Vega will still be a team that will have much to say before it's all said and done.

i said it on the sville/lavega thread, until they can complete a pass, they have no business in the top 10...

I agree on the El Campo part of that, however I think our schedule and scores have us ahead of Gonzales at this time. Until we meet and determin head to head.

Stephenville DE Chase Varnado said in the Stephenville Empire Tribune- "He's [Randy Gober] strong and he has thick legs; he never gives up on the play. He's a good runner for sure," said Varnado. "I think they have the best all-around team we've seen this year."

I'd have to agree after watching MT, Aledo, and now LV play S'ville. Missed the BO game. LV was strong and FAST! They completed a few short and out passes that could have made bigger yardage but coverage was deep.

We lost our stud middle LB at the start of the season with an ACL tear. Was projected as a legit D1 recruit too. 6'2/210#, benched 400 lbs and ran a leg on our 41 sec sprint relay last year... big loss.

IDK, I haven't seen MODOC play this season. But, I agree, you do need to be able to pass effectively when needed.

Dang, did they not put nearly 400 yards on the ground against you guys? I think that says a lot or maybe there are some concerns about your rushing defense. Not trying to debate it..JMO.

Will Imhoff

If the rest of you saw Will Imhoff, you would probably do a double take. He is listed at 5'6" 160 pounds, but he is a tough playmaker at middle backer. The talent is there to take his place, but the leadership on defense will have to shift a bit. Thankfully, the Rattlers have a very strong front four to keep the middle gaps a scary thought for runners. The speed in the secondary and linebackers are absolutely killing any option/sweep based plays so far.

As for La Vega... They will do fine. I think they completed around 10-12 passes. They can throw it when they need to.
