Which playoff/SC (all classes, if you want) games do you remember that were decided on the outcome of one play?

2010 3A Semis Brownwood vs Carthage

there were many but 1 ofensive PI call and 1 no call in the final seconds. Last play was a pass to Shipley in the endzone and the DB was all over him. :D

D1 State Championship last year. 2 missed extra points cost Alvarado a State Championship. Tyler Chapel Hill 20. Alvarado 19. That's a big one.

You could also argue that the fumble inside the 15-yard line with barely over a minute left was the crucial play of that game.

The Carthage Graham game was one of the best high school games I have ever watched! At the beginning of that game it looked like Graham stood ZERO chance in that one. I was shocked Graham decided to fake a field goal instead of just go for 2 with their offense. Incredible game none the less!

Seems as though the Dawgs have left plenty of disappointment in their dust!

Just curious I'm asking all the Graham people that are one here. There was a couple of kids off that team that were as good or better than some of Carthage's big D1 commits. Did any of them go on to play college ball? I remember a big linebacker #2 and a big safety #34 and a very good running back i forgot his number and a solid slot receiver that could fly.

The INT the Wimberley kid had last year was awesome and the final nail.

This 2004 playoff game decision will forever live in infamy in Decatur:

Decatur went on to add another field goal and a 21-yard touchdown pass from Chandler Dane to Jonathan Jones. But, rather than going for the two-point conversion to tie the game, the Eagles opted to kick the point after, resulting in a 14-13 Wylie lead.
As it turned out, it was the call that may have decided the game.

2006 State Championship 3A DII - Celina vs Liberty Hill

The game was tied with seconds left. Kicker had not attempted a FG the entire year.

2004 Division 2 State Championship. Failed 2pt conversion late in game left Jasper down 49-47 to Gilmer after mounting an incredible second half comeback. To this day, I still swear on everything I own that he broke the plane with that ball. Refs were against Jasper the whole game.

Don't recall the year, but the playoff game dubbed the Credit Card game in Victoria where Wimberley defeated Yoakum. Referees literally used a credit card to determine that Yoakum was short by millimeters on a 4th down play.

I always thought Refs only took cash. I guess Wimberley has figured out how to get them to take credit cards...

I think you could argue that the more significant play was the 4th and long conversion 2 or 3 plays before that.

Incredible play

How about SLC's onside kick recovery that may or may not have traveled the required ten yards. THAT, my friends, was a pivotal play.

I'll have to agree with Cobra about the Alvarado/TCH game last December. Seeing that kid drop the ball fighting for yards late in the forth within 20 yards of the go-ahead score was heart breaking. I'm not partial to either school, but I had true sympathy for those Indians that night!

Was it Argyle or Alvarado that lost a fumble on the opponent's 6-inch line in a close playoff game a couple of years ago?

we can't give them credit cards, we're a "robinhood" school, ain't no money left on the cards...
