Damn I didn't realize Texas scored 66 against Ole Miss.

Impressive performance

Ash was very lucky on most all deep passes, receivers had to come back for ball. All were under throws, he said he has that pass down in the paper today. Overall he had a good game, much better then last year.

I really wasn't expecting much of Ash this year. Last year as a freshman, he was a deer in the headlights. I never really thought he looked comfortable and kids like that rarely get that mojo.

But he looks like he's finding a rhythm. Surprising the hell out of me, and it's fun to see a kid that young take these kind of strides in such little time. Not saying he's an elite QB just yet, but if he can continue to perform then the Longhorns may see a rapid ascension back into college football's elite.

he still waits to see the guy open before throwing...that is why his deep balls are underthrown and that is why he throws behind his targets in the middle of field 10-15 yard range...once he trust and start throwing where they will be open he will take that next step to being a solid QB

Thank goodness they aren't playing Mccoy!

We'll see what kind of progress he's made when he plays a real defense.

Yeah, and it helps to have a great stable of running backs, too. That can make any qb look good, and open up the field for the recievers. We see that happen even at the pro level to a lesser extent.
