Madisonville tragedies?

I heard today that last Friday a varsity player from madisonville broke his neck playing football and one of their jv players died in a drowning accident. Is this true? And was it already posted?

Yes, it is true. The broken vertebrae in the neck was the starting QB/Safety. He was injured near the end of the last game. He thought he had a stinger and later, after the game ended, he went for x-rays and the break was found. He is out for the season. He is actually the second starting QB Madisonville has lost--the preseason starter was injured in a scrimmage and is also out for the season.

The JV player was at a church picnic and drowned in a lake the kids were swimming in.

Fairfield plays them this week in Madisonville. Im sure it will be a very emotional game tonight. My mom teaches at Fairfield and she said every one got an email regarding Madisonville's situation. My heart goe out to that community.
