I'm praying for a nice clear beautiful night for high school football. Nothing sweeter than broadcasting a game on "Hallowed Ground" with the smell of salt air coming in from the Gulf of Mexico a few miles south of La Marque. After the rain that came thru on Thursday and if the cool breeze doesn't come back, it will be a hot muggy night.

Congratulations Cold Spring !! Very good game plan...worded to their strengths, rolled the dice many times with high percentage play calling. Kept La Marque's defense guessing all night. Very anemic offensive output by La Marque....very predictable.

It is going to be an interesting year.

Region III is loaded this year!! My wishlist for the playoffs would be for WO-S to get a rematch with either of you.. I'm fans of both programs and have long-time friends from both schools. Just remember this is a non-district game, don't base anything on rankings and 8 weeks from now the football landscape will be completely different so don't get too too confident or too demoralized because we have a long way to go.

You can't base week to week outcomes on how good or not good teams are. It's early in the season... Lots of football left! Don't anyone start prepping a spot in the case for a trophy yet. 😉

Yes, my Coogs will bounce back, Coldspring is still the real deal, watching some video...Navasota is definitely the real deal and by what I've seen of the Milk Capital of Texas....they've always been the real deal.
