Several teams with losses are ranked ahead of WC... Haha

I can justify stephenville and maybe Carthage.... But the rest of those... No.

rankings are well..rankings...but for me its hard to rank Wimberley ahead of Giddings after Giddings beat em head up...Giddings also has a win over Liberty Hill ranked #25

I wouldn't put too much stock in this poll.

Yeah hard to figure why Giddings wouldn't be included.

I agree AND what's up with the CS-OH #6 spot?? That got whooped by a very good Sota team, but none the less, whooped!

Having seen CS first hand, they are a very good team.

They're obviously not as good as navasota, but anyone who was there will tell you that score is not indicative of how the game went. Nav was 2-3 tds better, but won by 28. I'd be surprised if anyone came within 28 of nav in the reg season. They're that good.

Navasota is not a very good matchup for CS but CS will do well this year. Having said that, I think they should be listed around #10.

Giddings has been off the radar on everyone's list since before the season. Seems fine with me, I like to win under the radar. Even if they are squeakers.

Even I had my secret preseason hopes set on being 3-2 or better going into district. These young men are proving me wrong. So I can easily understand the polls.

I couldn't agree more. Coldspring is a very solid team. Please don't let that score, 36-8, have a negative outlook on the Trojans. Coldspring will still be a force come playoffs! They were alot better than what I thought they would be. I still would have them in the top 12 if not higher.

No reason to get bent out of shape at this point. Alvarado has not played anyone worthy of improving their ranking position. We will see after Fort Worth Southwest if we merit top 10 or not. I would be interested to see what BullBoy and Bulloholic think after playing Alvarado and Wylie how they see us comparing.

In any case, the only ranking that really matters is the final one in December..

I don't think either of those posters came to the Wylie/Bridgeport game.

Hey CC, so If Big Spring makes the playoffs, looks like we will both be DII this year. Would probably meet in round 3. How is Wylie looking so far compared to the last two years?

Since I didn't see the Argyle game, and Bridgeport is obviously down at least at this point in the season, AND I am a just a woman ;), I am probably not qualified to answer that question. I will say that the last two season's have not been what we have become accustomed to around here. That's not a slam against those two teams AT ALL. Wylie fans are somewhat spoiled in that we have become accustomed to watching our teams play football in December. I do think this team can get us there, BUT it's SO early in the season. Maybe someone who saw the Argyle game can give a good analysis. G2 and TXB could give an unbiased opinion. Upper20, slingshot, nobogey72 (and others, I'm sure) all saw both games so far and all have seen PLENTY of Wylie football to make a comparison.

How's that for rambling on without ever giving an answer?? ;)

Either DCTF really has some deep reaches into who's really what, OR we are a bunch of dummies on 3ADL, LOL.
