I really like what Stephenville has done in their new mode of operation. Young OL looked much better and will continue to do so from week to week. Need more balance up the middle on runs.
Defense was flying to the ball. Applied much more pressure and penetrated Aledo's OL with speed.

One thing that will get better and needs to is tackling. Fundemental wrapping up!

Going to be a good year in 3A football!

After watching more than 40 years of La Marque Cougar football,I would say Ozen pushed La Marque's button more than any team ever ! Talk about baiting the hook. It went on from the get - go. I know La Marque is known for it's swagger, but I've never seen so many late hits, punching in the scrum after the tackle, etc. The 3rd round playoff game last year was played in the worst down pour I've been involved in. Just a word of caution (as mentioned by CTS above) don't bite the hook. Watch the punch just after the last play of the game. That was minor.

Ozen has good team speed and talent all over the field. Question is, can they execute well enough to overcome the disciplined execution Stephenville will have on both sides of the ball?
