Touchbacks

I'm probably late on this but...since when do touchbacks come up to the 25 instead of the 20?

Okay. I was working the chains at the Jasper Orangefield game last night and there was a touchback so we all ran up and got set up at the 20 only to have the line judge move us 5 yards upfield. We were all confused for a while.

Players also have to sit out a play if their helmet comes off, and I think if you make a tackle or are involved in a play after your helmet comes off it's a 15 yard penalty.

One of the rule chnages this year designed to eliminate returns from the end zone during free kicks is to award the team taking the touchback the ball at the 25 yard line. This only applies to free kicks, not to punts, interceptions or any other kind of play that ends in a touchback.
