Will the Leps improve on their 1-1 record hosting the Falcons? The Falcons seem to be down this year yet you never can take your eyes off the ball with this very competitive team. They would like nothing more than to come into our house and whip up on some Leps. However, an impressive Leopard offense and a defense that seems to have found its grove should be too much for Brookshire this season.

It looks like there is not much support for the Falcons on this thread. Thing is you still have to play the game and not get sucked into a trap game like the Leps did with Smithville in 2008. The Leps need to keep their focus and play with intensity. Too many penalties last week imo so hopefully they will tighten it up.

I'm curious as to how practice is going this week. After a big win against rival Columbus will the Leps sleepwalk against a struggling Royal Falcons team? Hope the Lep seniors take command and get the team on the same page for a win this week. Go Leps!

The core Senior players this year have only had 4 wins each of the last 2 years, they have a shot at winning that many before District starts. So you can bet they will be ready to play each week, they know they have a lot to prove this year and the only place that can happen is on the field.

The Leps win big in a sloppy game 48-0. Too many penalties, mostly false starts for the Leps but the Royal team must have had over 100 yards in penalties. The Leps speedster #5 Hutchison ran the opening kickoff back 85 yards for a td. He also had a nice 45 yard run for a td in the forth. #3 Fillmore was the work horse on offense gaining around 200 yards rushing. We dropped some wide open passes and really never got the passing game going like we should have but the rushing was so good we didn't need to. Next week the Leps travel to Needville to test the Jays. Go Leps beat Needville.

Leps took care of business. Hard to not get a little sloppy sometimes when playing a team that is down like brookshire royal. Don't play with same focus and intensity.

You hit the nail on the head, BR was so sloppy it rubbed off on us. It did not help we were without our starting center , snaps were bad which threw off our timimg on most plays. You find out how important a center is when your offense is under center one play and out of the shotgun the next, hopefully next week or the next our center will beback. A win is a win.

This could be the Leps best year since 2009. We played a little rough around the edges with too many false starts and backfield in motion penalties last night. With a new center filling in for the injured(knee strain) #50 Hardin the team must make adjustments to the different cadences but #63 did an admirable job overall with some excellent blocking, who along with the two guards opened big holes in the middle for #3 Fillmore. [did anyone else see the size of Falcon's nose guard #99?. Kid was 6'5" 400lbs!] #63 and #68 were pushing him around pretty well. The O line had a pretty solid night except for the off sides business. The Leps will tighten it up and go to Needville to get their first win on the road next Friday.

Our backup centers is also our nosetackle, so going both ways is hard to do however he is doing an excellent job on the DL. Hopefully by next week he will be able to play only D, we have a number of young players really starting to step up. In the first half we just could not get our timing down on offense, between all their penaties and our false starts it was very sloppy.

Speaking of young players stepping up that young fella #57 who filled in at nose guard looked pretty sharp last night. He's only a sophomore up from the jv to fill in for #63 who had to play center while Hardin is out.
