Inglesides defense wins this game because the offense tried to give it away. I won't take anything away from GW because they did what they do which was run and consume clock time. Our defense made the stops when necessary wnd when we forced GW into a passing situation it was either picked our no one was open.

They were competitive the last time they were in the 30-3a. Should be interesting once district play starts.

Anyyone who knows football a little bit knows George West has a very good team. They went three rounds last year returned nine starters on both sides and lost in the third round a year ago to Division 1 runner-up Hempstead 17-7. This is a quality win and the game against Refugio was way better than beating T-M 57-0. Ingleside will be a good team again this year. The changes in the coaching staff seam to have had an impact- for the better. The kids really seem to like the new staff and play very hard for them.

Offense tried to give it away? We had the ball three times in the second half and scored on two of the posessions and fumbled on the other. Yes we did have two turnovers that hurt and we were stopped on fourth down twice but that is the way we have always played- aggressive. I love the way we always attack. There were two great play calls in the game- the two point play after we had our first kick blocked and the two point play when we snuck a tight end to the tackle spot.

I doubt Ingleside could beat TM by two touchdowns, let alone 57 points ths year. I don't think anyone doubted how hard the kids played, just their youth and the defense not adjusting to what Refugio did. Stangs should walk over Odem, then things will get interesting.

We would beat T-M like we always have and we would beat Robstown the same way. Refugio and George West are better than most area 3A teams and many of the weaker 4A teams.
