it gets tougher after this game..FWSouthwest, and China Spring...Southwest's defense got pushed around by Cleburne last week, but their O is as advertised.

im going down to Mexia thursday to watch my son play for the freshman Indians..its been 30 years since iv been to that stadium..hope they have made improvements...

I think some of you may be a little harsh on Mexia. I think this game stays close, then Alvarado comes out of the dressing room and romps.

Look for mexia's d line to get thrown about by the Indians o line. Mexia's few skill guys will not be enough for the black cats. THe Indians are a pretty complete team unlike mexia..... The only time this game is close is at the opening kickoff

Should be similar to what China Springs did to them. If not, we better look our for China Springs.I think it will be worse... Look for us to be up big early and coast to the end. Just like last week. This is so good for the coaches. They get to look at younger players to see what weapons they have to use.. Plus keeps your starters fresh and not beat up.

Coach Dixon tries to schedule top teams..La vega backed out to play Stephenville, we were going to have Stephenville for non-district until we ended up in the same district..we got lucky and got a very good China Spring team this year..and that will be a good game. FWSouthwest will be a test this year..Bridgeport is usually a quality opponent(and by the way, will be very good by playoff time) all and all the Indians will be fine..Teams like Celina, Argyle, Abilene Wylie should want to have Alvarado in non-district..but for whatever reason hasnt worked out that way.

Ok got to see the Mexia China Spring game. This is only my opinion. Mexia's defensive front is tiny and will be completely run over by the big O line of Alvarado. This will be a big blowout but maybe not as big as it was for China Spring. Coach Dixon doesn't like running the score up. If the score gets huge it will because the backups are making it that way. He will pull his starters early in this one I feel. But then again you never know. CS looked pretty salty. Not very big but disciplined. They are scrappy. Should be a great game between us and CS for our homecoming game.
