Gonzo coming off a solid home win against 4A Vic East. Second 4A match-up for Gonzales. Does the Apache Nation scratch out another W?

I have read the season preview stuff about all the talent. I just don't believe they live up to it. Just an opinion. Lost 30-0 this past week. Just think Gonzales will beat them.

I was very pleased the way the OL and the DL handled VE. Victoria East had a very big line both ways. I am sure they fixed any problems they had that night. They (the tribe), will be ready for Bastrop.:thumbsup:

I think you're right. Have seen Bastrop on film - much more physical than Vic East with great overall team speed. Think it'll be a good test for the Apaches. They'll be the best team Gonzo has seen this season...

Bastrop definitely has some speed. Their best bet is to get to the edges as often as possible. That being said, I think the Apaches understand this & will be able to keep those speedsters hemmed in... Don't think Bastrop can run right at them...

Bastrop will not be able to run right at us. Defense to strong up front, and with Lopez as the safety, throwing long passes against the tribe will be almost dangerous. :evilgrin:

Plus, when Lopez comes up to hit the RB coming through the hole, it often isn't pretty. Dude is a beast IMO at safety.

Plus, when Lopez comes up to hit the RB coming through the hole, it often isn't pretty. Dude is a beast IMO at safety. You are right YT, the dude is a beast. He also is pretty tough at RB. Have you seen him run the ball. He is like a bull. Very hard to bring him down.
