This is very homer like and yet very realistic. My guess would be that atleast the best team in our disrict would be good for 3rd in yours. Our district will be a dog fight for the playoffs, yalls for position.

Four of most people's top ten will be from District 26. LaGrange, Giddings, Gonzales, and Cuero. Cuero should not be mentioned with that group yet. Give us four more weeks of experience and get Hopkins and Goebel back then we can talk. One thing I noticed the other night. You had better be in shape when you play Cuero. No cramps. No hands on the hips. A little bit of depth at line. We looked good in the fourth. The fight for three playoff spots will be intense. Nobody goes undefeated in this district. Not even Gonzo.

I just retread a few of the top tens. Didn't mean to slight Yoakum. Makes my point even stronger.

Sure, putting Bellville at the top was a bit of a homer move, though I definitely think we are in the mix for the top spot in R4.....there are a lot of questions to be answered about all the teams. I don't know how we will match up against El Campo but if others are to be believed, they are in there. I think, but not sure we are better than Sealy this year. What works against us, at least in district 25 is that El Campo and Sealy are both away games for us. The only thing I can go on with Giddings is what i know from last year. Yall were certainly a good team, but don't think you were strong as Bellville or Sealy, or at least the Sealy team that showed up to play us. I think our offense is better this year, and haven't seen enough to know if our defense is as good as last year. I know our secondary will be better than last year, just not sure we are as quick on the DL, but we will see. Wimberley lost a lot of really good players and they seem kind of battered up right now, so I have Giddings and Gonzales ahead of them.

You are right your district is definitely the most competitive top to bottom, probably in all of 3a.

So tell me , how does Giddings compare to the team we saw in the first round of the playoffs last year?

The bottom 5 can be rearranged in no particular order. I think Bellville is the team to beat. Who else do they play for preseason?

Not ready to put Giddings any higher than 5th or 6th, but with some more games to get their timing and penalties down, they might end up being a playoff contender if they can stay healthy.
