I'm afraid you're right on this one. Unless Cuero has just a horrible night, I can't see the Pirates taking this one, either.

Cuero has shown much improvement consistently. Sinton got their first win and hope it makes them very hungry for turkey. This game could be just the first meeting of the year for these teams. They could very well see each other in the playoffs. Cuero has shown me more this year so far.
I hate to agree with you guys on this one but it looks like Cuero should be a 10 point favorite. :(
Let's see how our Pirates respond. This could be huge for them...

Though Sinton just picked up there first win, they're still a dangerous team and are playing hard (which is all that counts)...

I try not to predict Cuero games, and I won't predict this one... But I will say that I'm gunna grab me a couple of those Fajitas at the Sinton game and save 'em for the road, cuz they just might be the only thing I have to look forward to on a long drive home...

Good luck to both teams, let us stay injury free for district...

Come early and try a tortilla burger.
If your not used to jalepenos then you might leave early. :D eek!

Ha, jalepenos...

I love torilla burgers, but my relationship with jalepenos are like my relationship with tomatoes...

I can't eat them raw, but if they're cooked etc... bring those bad boys on...

I can relate...
case in point:
If I eat jalepenos raw, then the next morning my routine goes from the 3 S's to the 4 S's.
eek! :o eek!

Gobbla, we're looking forward to seeing you. We'll get together on the board this next week and arrange a meet and greet. For you Sinton fans, I'm pretty sure Old Green will make it to this game also. The last time we talked, he was planning on coming. Amen to the injury free part, and best of luck to both teams.

I plan to be there too. I will be the old guy in the black San Antonio Spurs cap. Be sure to get your frajitas by at least half time because they might sell out before the game is over. See you there.

Gobbla2001
09-22-2003, 12:02 PM
They'll sell-out before kick-off if I'm there...

I'll update everyone on what I'll be wearing...

I know what I'm gunna say the first time I see Phil C...

I'm sure he knows????????????????

Bug repellant is a must. Mosquitos were pretty bad last Friday and will be worse by next weekend. Gobbla, we'll try to meet you at the seperation fence just inside the entry gate before the game starts. I'll try to find Old Green, you already know what he looks like.

Gobbla2001

Looking for a good game between Sinton's and Cuero's Soph. and JR. dominated teams. The future looks bright for both schools and pray for no injuries.

Hey, guys, I decided what I'm gunna wear... I'm gunna be wearing my birthday suit... I figured this way if you didn't notice the only naked guy out there, you'd atleast notice the only naked guy out there getting carried out by police... Then you guys can come bail me out now that you know who I am...

Figured pickin' up some chicks couldn't hurt anyway...

BTW, where's the best place to park there? I went to the 4th round series against you guys in baseball in '01, remember how to get there, just wanna know where you guys think I should park it...

Thanks...

Thanks...Probably one of the side streets off Pirate Blvd. (Market St., ummm, can't think of the other street names - go figure) The parking lot gets pretty packed & getting out of there is a mess. So if you park on one of the side streets & walk over to the stadium, you'll get out of there alot quicker after the game.

If you get there before the rest of the crowd, you can park in the lot behind the new library and to the side of Super S grocery store that faces Pirate Blvd.. It's about a block walk to the gate, but it's easy to get into and out of.

If you get there by 5:30 P.M. you can go watch the Varsity Girls volleyball game with Cuero and get a good parking space. After the volleyball game you can go on to the football field and get a frajita and a good seat. After the volleyball game I will be hanging around behind the ticket office at the football field.

I just came in from the Junior high 8th grade A game with Cuero. Cuero was winning 8-6 at half. Just wanted to comment on the mosquitos. They are swarming at the field. Even with the spray they were hard to keep off. Don't open your mouth too wide, you will have plenty of supper without the fajitas!!

Dangit, hate mesquitos, they're well worth sitting through, though...

I dunno if Old Green posted it yet but our Freshmen squeaked by your Freshmen and our JV won as well... forget the scores, heard your Fish are VERY big and VERY fast though...

Sounds like your freshman squad is pretty tuff, because this class went undefeated last year as 8th graders.

I think this is the 1st loss for these kids (fish) have experienced since their 7th grade year. :( They'll bounce back. The freshman score was 20-15.

Oh...

and the fajitas are $3.00, there are also turkey legs & sausage wraps. yummmmm

Yah, obviously they did a very good job because we had to win the game with a 92 yard pass in the last two minutes... I'm sure they'll bounce back next week... Looks like there will be some good Cuero/Sinton match-ups in the future, eh?
