is going to somewhat effect the Gilmer/ Atlanta opener tomorrow night. How much remains to be seen. Playing on a slick and windy field may not be in our best interests and Webster may have a field day. Hopefully it will stay a little east of Tyler and at least give the teams dry conditions.

The game may be rescheduled if rain...rescheduled more than likley for Saturday...Amy should know around 10AM

I always shutter when hurricanes enter the gulf. Lived in La Marque all my life and have been through many of them. But with the current economic situation with many of the districts along the coast, another biggie like Ike would make matters worse. Galveston lost thousands of residents after IKE, primarily why they dropped from a 5A school to 4A. Although the hurricane didn't have as much of an impact on La Marque, we still lost students moving west or north.

When I read posts like this....it always brings back bad memories.

They keep saying it's moving northwest but to me it looks like it's moving due west!

I heard that if it's rescheduled for Saturday the game will be played in Gilmer. Any of you other Gilmer folk hear the same thing?

Looks like its moving more East. Id bet there is a 90 % chance this thing is played as scheduled tonight (with some light rain on and off).

It looks like the weather will play no part in the games in East Texas. It's looking like Isaac is staying well to our east. I'm ready for some FOOTBALL!

Yes, the game is still on. There may be a little bit of rain, but not much from the looks of it.

Already! It's been since the first loss to Argyle that I've been to a Gilmer game. I'm pretty excited.
