This should be a good game to watch....Wharton ended our season last year in the playoffs by going for 2 late in the forth quarter and winning 36-35, that QB I believe his name was ( Grissom ) was pretty darn good , they played from behind the whole game but they never gave up it was hard to put them away I think they kept coming back on Devine as well, those guys play with a lot of heart and never throw in the towl so expect a fight the whole game!!!!
Cuero is Cuero and I believe they will bounce back this season football isn't the same if Cuero isn't a region power house. I can't wait to see the outcome of this game.

Cuero should win since they corrected their problems from last year in getting a QB/HC in one transaction. BG61 say's that's all them Gob's were lacking in 2011, and I trust his judgment. He know's his ball.:vrycnfsd:

Can't keep them Gob's down long OG. We all knew that. Getting a top notch QB/coach never hurts. Cuero by 20 now that they have the missing pieces in place.

The QB for Wharton is a very talented player. He's very hard to defense once he gets going.

He is that OG. Seen him last year in Sinton vs. Devine during the Sadler Show. He can create excitement for sure. Either way.

Cuero scored in the last 2 seconds on a 30 yard pass. Gobblers had 4 turnovers. 3 inside the 10 yayd line or less. Gobblers are much improved.
Wharton is loaded with speed. Hard to break the big one or get large gains against their defense. QB Grissom is everything he's billed to be.

Grissom is really good but Wharton doesn't have a whole lot else offensively. Pretty 1 dimensional.

Plenty of speed on D but their line is a little soft and can be pushed around some. They're talented but unpolished. Still a quality team.

Solid win for Cuero.

Its fun to see them kids and grown men so happy and loving the game again. not loaded with talent and speed like so many years in the past. But this team plays with so much heart and give everything they can give for each other. If it happens to be a win then it a bonus. One thing about this Cuero team, you better be ready for 4 Qts of lots of heart and a team that will battle you with everything they have every play. Very early but I really like what I see and they will be even better when they get starting RB and All state LB/P/K back from injury.

Any truth to the home cooking clock keeper that helped give the gobblers the chance to score late?

I know the refs added 3 seconds back on the clock after an interference penalty.

Reason time was added the refs started the clock before moving the chains after a first down. Was the correct call though I can't say the same for other calls or non-calls. Was a good game with a lot of things for both teams to work on.

It is great to have a team that shows signs of the Cuero of old. Blake came within 6 passing yards in his first game as QB as Cuero had ALL of last year. Not a bad start.

I normally don’t get worked up about the refs but 4 times last night my son would be running a pass rout and the kid on him not only was holding on to his jersey but one time he tripped him when he was clear for the end zone and none of it was called .Looking at the film you could tell it was their first game of the year also.
And the passing last year my son had 5 catches for 56 yards all season and was the 2nd highest on the team, last night he had 5 catches for 129 yards, the passing game is on.

He had a great game. 5 for 129 and showed good concentration watching the ball all the way to his hands.

Blake was 23 of 29 Two of them were spikes and one was the interception. Very, very impressive. That last 30 yarder was about 40 in the air and never got more than 8 feet off the ground. Not much lob in any of his throws. Nothin but BB's.
