After two tough scrimages with 4A Schools, Beeville and Ray it doesn't get easier. Remember Beeville has had success in playoffs and Ray HS were state champions in 1959.
August 31 Tuloso-Midway. Good grief. Another 4A school who had success in playoffs in 1967.
September 7 at Yoakum. Another powerful team with a long travel to make.
September 14 at Rio Hondo. Another long trip to the valley to play a powerhouse again. Talk about wanting to jump in the Amazon River to fight Pyreenas or Anacondas.
September 21 Raymondville - a team that has been in playoffs before.
September 28 Laredo LBJ - Good Grief! A 5A powerhouse. It would be less dangerous to face Billy the Kid in the Streets of Laredo.
Then it gets worse in district.
October 12 at Ingleside. A powerful playoff team that isn't afraid of Refugio. And they are mad about that one point loss to us last year and their fine enrgetic coach will have them ready. Hurricane Issac here I come with my surf board.
Oct ober 19 Orange Grove. Good grief. Yet another tough team with their coach determined to win in Sinton.
October 26 at Rockport-Fulton. They give us a hard time last year and remember this is the home of Dat Ng. Sharks in the Gulf anyone?
November 2 at West Oso. Beware of the Howling Bear! Enough said.
November 9 Robstown - Good grief another tough team. Remember they actually beat Freer's great 2A football team that wen to the semis in 1954. Freer advanced on the coin flip with Robstown and Falfurrias. And we barely beat them in OT a few years ago.
