This looks like their rankings based on the end of the year last year. They still have not updated all of the smaller classifications districts yet... Still have Alvarado in Dist 8 for example.

There are MANY ridiculous things about this ranking but the fact that they have Melissa ranked higher than Trinity really caught my eye. I would guess that Trinity would score 100 on Melissa.

Coach Lineweaver would downshift at 50 and probably still score 100

The Massey poll becomes a lot more interesting later in the season, especially playoff time. We had a lot of fun with it last year. Notice the SOS's are all ones.

It is a lot like the MaxPreps poll. It starts based on last years ranking - graduation. Doesn't take into account up and coming kids until later into the season.

No offense to those whose school is ranked highly...but this has got to be the most worthless (in the real world) published ranking I've ever seen..

I like polls especially the Massey ratings, but they're all worthless even in week 10. Ask Wimberley about a non-ranked opponent in the playoffs, they had all they could handle in bi-district last year. There are too many factors that affect a teams performance from week to week, especially in the playoffs. The pre-season polls are obviously the most subjective, it's just an educated GUESS at this point in the season.

I like Massey come playoff time. Its usually pretty accurate.
