Had a feeling this was coming. Mills' replacement will be announced Sunday morning.

Also let go were hitting coach Mike Barnett and first base coach Bobby Meacham.

He never had a chance.

Yeah, every year he saw the club trading away it's best players.

Dude has to feel like a guy who just got out of prison. I'm certain the booze is flowing at the Mills house tonight

I guess they expect who ever is coaching to win with a AA minor league team in the big leagues...I hope at least they don't waste the top draft pick. After maybe 7 more last place seasons, we can fill out a roster.

Astros give the interim manager position to AAA OKC manager Tony DeFrancesco.

Mills was a good guy but no one could win in his situation. Read where Luhnow said Mills looked relieved upon being fired lol

He'll get back on somewhere. Hes a good manager. Read where Stros are looking for a replacement ASAP, possibly before the season is over??? has that ever happened? I thought that was an offseason kinda change

The Ticket ran a stat before lunch today... Current team payroll is less than $28MM. With two guys out on the DL, the highest paid currently active player on the Astros makes $750K.

They will be lucky to win 50 games.
