Stephenville rattled off five touchdowns, more than The Colony and Haltom City Haltom combined in a three-way scrimmage at Birdville Fine Arts/Athletics Complex Friday night.
A lightning delay held up the action, but neither of the larger opponents - Haltom is 5A, The Colony 4A - could hold up Tyler Jones from firing two touchdown passes, one to Brice Gunter and another to Jarrett Stidham, who also passed for two scores and rushed for one.

The first-team offense moved the ball close to 50 yards before the drive fizzled when the teams went to full-field play. Luis Garcia came in and drilled a field goal.
Stidham had already thrown a scoring strike in the 40-yard controlled portion of the scrimmage, and connected with B.J. Walker for a 30-yard score in full-field play. The two had hooked up moments prior for close to 40 yards.
Stidham also dove across the goal line on fourth-and-one in the full-field session.
Neither defense allowed a score in the full-field scrimmage. The second-team defense did surrender a touchdown to The Colony on a 40-yard reverse in the opening stage.
The Yellow Jackets host Granbury in a more traditional scrimmage next Friday at Tarleton Meorial Stadium. Coinciding is the Stephenville Athletic Booster Club's annual hamburger supper fundraiser.
The Jackets kickoff the regular season at home against Monterrey Tec, Mexico on Aug. 31.
