Lord, thank goodness my kid don't play in this pee wee league. Wonder what HS will get this kid? Massive.

What do you 3ADL'ers think? Should he be able to play pee wee ball or not. Rules are clear in this league, he's too big. I say, let him wait till JH, then hurt a few. Wow, he's a monster. Someone teach him now, to stop standing straight up at the snap. Love to be his agent now.:p

They said he was a seventh grader, why is he not playing in junior high?

Yep, hate it when idiot youth coaches try to stock their 6th grade team with 7th graders.

The league may have screwed themselves on this one. I looked at their rules and it appears under their rules, he is elgible, although is restricted to playing O-line and D-line. Many of these youth leagues tweak their rules ove rthe years so as to accomodate this board member or that board member's kid. I suspect sometime in the past they had a 7th grader who was slightly over the weight but for whatever reason, he or his parents did not want him in school ball. So they wrote in the exception language.
From their book:

4.3. WEIGHT: The League Executive Board will determine the date(s) of each weigh-in for each year. It will be a strip weigh-in only (“strip” meaning in street clothes). All appropriate paperwork will be turned in on weigh-in day, including valid birth certificates or certified statements, recent photographs, team rosters (forms furnished by League), medical waiver forms, etc., - NO exceptions. Any Head Coach failing to comply with the above may be subject to disciplinary action by the League Executive Board. The head coach and one representative from the team will be allowed to participate in the weigh-in for his team.
4.3.1. Weights will not be more than:
“C” Division ---------- 160 lbs.
(7th or 8th grade player) ---------- 135 lbs.
“D” Division ---------- 135 lbs.
“E” Division ---------- 120 lbs.
“F” Division ---------- Not Applicable
4.3.2. SCALES: Weights to be taken by certified counter weight scales furnished by the League. Weights for each division will be no more than 120.9, 135.9, and 160.9.
4.3.3. Elementary players on the “C”, “D” or “E” division who do not exceed the stated weight limit (see Section 4.3) will be allowed to play any position. If a player exceeds the stated weight limit, the player must display the league-approved symbol in the approved location and only be allowed to play in the following positions:
4.3.3.1. Offensive line – tackle to tackle
4.3.3.2. Defensive line
4.3.3.2.1. “C” only – two guards (nose guard) or two tackles.
4.3.3.2.2. “D” and “E” – two guards (nose guard) or two tackles or two ends.
4.3.3.2.3. Defensive line cannot back up on the snap of the ball.
4.3.3.2.3.1. Penalty: An unsportsmanlike conduct (15 yard penalty). 2nd occurrence is an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty and ejection of the player.
