LaMarque lost most of impact last year on offense, 3a is a tough class to play in. Don't get me wrong though, LaMarque is a very, very good team.

I'll just say this....it's gonna be a rockem sockem season in 3A this year, and no tellin' who's gonna be left standing for the big dance. It could be any number of teams rated all the way up to the Top 30, IMO. All this talk so far is just that....anything can happen on the way to a championship season, and probably will this year.

If you check your history, you will see that the Coogs most potent offenses came from that arrangement. In addition, with the defense as potent as expected the "O" can survive on great, not spectacular! A pretty stout pre season gauntlet should prepare La Marque for the games that count in their new 3 A digs. ( perhaps Cold Springs will be a measuring stick that everyone can relate )
I saw Cold Springs play WOS in the playoffs last year and saw every Coog game. I was impressed with Cold Springs but they will struggle with LM's speed on both sides of the ball.

they've lost the last 3 years to Aledo
year before that they lost to Everman in the quarters
before that they lost to REALLY good Wichita Falls Rider squads 2 years in a row
Before that they lost to Highland Park (remember Matt Stafford?) in a classic quarter-final game
I guess back in 2004 when they lost to Rider (who made the quarters) in round one you could say they lost to an "inferior" team
