The incoming junior class for Aledo was loaded 3 years ago (I know that's talking about the 8th grade but here's why I say that).

The middle school I coached at played them that year. We'd gone 9-0 the year before and went 7-2 that year. One of those two losses was to Aledo, and it was by a score of 54-0. The only other loss that year was 3-0... yes, a middle school team kicked a field goal.

i saw part of their spring football game and the sophs (juniors this fall) were "fit" big! they had RB that looked like a freight train running! also saw matt bishops little brother at qb..very poised and athletic and can pass really well...
im with matt on this, they will be suprisingly good..especially come playoff time..alot of folks think because JG is gone
that Aledo will come back to earth..not so fast:1popcorn:

i think its funny how the Denton Guyer folks think their too good for 4a and took it like an insult that they dropped...they have little respect for Aledo..if things fall right, they will face Aledo in 2nd round in playoffs..

It's kind of funny that Guyer would think like that since they've scrimmaged Aledo the last two years...Aledo's going to miss Gray, there's no doubt....they may not be as good at QB, RB and WR but at every other position they should be improved
