I know we have a thread for updates on the Olympics but I felt that this one belonged with its' own th read.
I have always believed in separation of politics and olympics but some countries may be carrying it too far and some investigation should be done. See article below. I have seen films where one of Saddam Hessein's son tortued athletes. If he had survived it would have been interested to have seen how he would have done against the athlete one on one. And this being done by him to someone that was working hard and doing his best for his country.
I have also heard that some Countries take children away from parents at a young age to go to special training.
These things should be investigated by the IOC and any Country guilty of such things should be disbarred from the Olympics.
