Will Middlebrooks from Texarkana Liberty Eylau will now be starting third baseman for the Red Sox. Congrats to and his Mom who used to be a regular poster on this sight:clap::clap:

Middlebrooks....

The second best high schooler I've ever seen.

Good ball player.

So far, Middlebrooks has shown he belongs, and has earned his way. Regardless of what others may say, his play speaks for itself. Nice to see a young man that was a star in 3A here in Texas make the jump to the Bigs in a BIG way. I hope Austin Aune follows the same path and enjoys a similiar successful early experience.

Will was good enough to play football at the pro level, too. He chose baseball, and you can't argue with the results. Way to go, Will! I hope he has a long and successful career in MLB.

So what do you think Aune will do, will he sign a Pro contract now to play baseball or will he enroll at TCU to play football. Just curious.

My guess is that he bought a couple of shirts and pants, but NOT a new glove...yet.

He may not have bought the new glove, but he did have the yanks put enough of the bonus money away for college in the future. ;)
