As of June 15, the UIL reported the standings in the UIL Lone Star Cup for all classifications. For 3A, it looks like Argyle took a commanding lead at 94 total points over Abilene Wylie in second with 72. This is a 22 point differential, and is the most of any classification by far. I don't know if this total includes all the categories of scoring as of that date, but the winners will be announced July 1st. I'm thinking it's basically over with in 3A with this kind of lead. Congrats to Argyle students for a fine year, and alot of hard work. It takes a concerted effort in many categories to win the Cup, and for a 650 enrollment school to win it in 3A is even tougher, esp. by this kind of margin.
