is there a limit to how many times a team can enter a SQT? Seems like La Marque has been in a bunch.

There is no limit. You can technically play in every SQT tourney in the state. But the host school has the option of who they let in to each tourney.

No limit. In the Houston area a lot of the same schools attend area Division I SQT's every week to play the best competition. LM decided even though they were dropping to keep playing in the bigger tournaments except for the Hitchcock Tournament. LM also hosts the Houston Texans SQT at Reliant Park so that gets them an invite in most of the other tournaments because most teams want to play in theirs.
