Emmitt Smith & Corey Fullbright will throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Texas Rangers' home opener on April 4. (as reported in today's Corpus Christi Caller Times)

It is great to hear that Corey is able to be out and about!!!

SURPRISE, Ariz. -- Former Dallas Cowboys running backEmmitt Smith will throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Texas Rangers' 2003 home opener April 4 vs. the Mariners.

In a special tribute, Everman High School senior Corey Fulbright will accompany the NFL's all-time rushing yards leader to the mound for the first-pitch ceremony. Corey was paralyzed from the waist down after sustaining an injury in the Texas Class 3A Division 1 state football championship last December in San Antonio.

The Rangers and Dodge will present Corey and his family with a check for $45,000 to be applied toward the purchase of a specially equipped van. Members of the 2002 Everman High School football team will also be present.
