Everybody knows I have always been a Mark Reeve Fan but when you look at his overall record it will just astound you. I hope he enjoys this year watching his two boys coach (Cuero and UTSA) and his son play QB (Cuero)

Reeve leaves TLU staff
(Posted Tue 04:10 pm)
SEGUIN - Texas Lutheran head football coach Danny Padron has announced the promotions of Mark Carey and Braxton Harris to co-defensive coordinators and the hiring of Craig Harris as the defensive line coach.
The promotions and hiring were made after coaches Mark Reeve and Alan Roberts announced their departures from the TLU staff.
Reeve, the Bulldogs’ defensive coordinator and assistant head coach for the 2010 and 2011 seasons, cited family circumstances for his resignation.
Roberts, the Bulldogs’ assistant coach for the defensive secondary, accepted a coaching job at El Campo High School in El Campo.
“I can’t thank Coach Reeve and Coach Roberts enough for their contributions to this program,” said Padron. “They brought us instant credibility among Texas high school football coaches and greatly assisted us in recruiting.
“We all started together in the winter of 2010 with the goal of restoring confidence, credibility, and a winning tradition to TLU football. Coach Reeve and Coach Roberts were at the forefront of those efforts. Together with our entire staff, our players and the TLU community, Coach Reeve and Coach Roberts returned TLU football to a competitive force in NCAA Division III. We are thankful for their tireless service, and we wish them nothing but the best.”
Reeve and Roberts were two of the first hires by Padron after he was hired as TLU’s football coach in January 2010. Padron, Reeve and Roberts inherited a Bulldog football program that was 0-10 in 2009 and a combined 6-24 over the previous three seasons. In the two seasons that followed, with Padron and his staff at the helm of the rebuilding project, the Bulldogs went 9-11 overall and 7-9 in the American Southwest Conference. In 2011, the Bulldogs were 5-5 overall and 4-4 in the ASC.
Reeve joined the TLU staff in 2010 shortly after the hiring of Padron as head coach. Reeve is one of the most successful coaches in Texas high school football history. After the 2009 high school season, Reeve retired from state power Cuero, where he led the Gobblers to a combined record of 84-11 over seven seasons. Reeve was also the Cuero athletic director.
Reeve never lost a district game at Cuero and led the Gobblers to the 2004 state finals and to state semifinal appearances in four other seasons (2005, 2007, 2008, 2009). The Gobblers with Reeve produced a 34-game home winning streak.
Reeve has an overall coaching mark of 192-37-4 as a head coach at the high school level. Upon his retirement from high school, Reeve’s winning percentage was the sixth-highest all-time in Texas high school football. Reeve was inducted in 2007 to the Texas High School Coaches Association Hall of Honor.
Reeves’ son, Travis Reeve, was named Cuero athletics director and head football coach during the spring.
In addition to his time as head coach at Cuero, Reeve was the head coach and athletic director at Plano West from 1999-2002 and went 21-9. From 1990 to 1999, Reeve was the head coach and athletic director at Victoria High School. He posted a record of 87-17-4 at Victoria.

His son Travis is the AD/HC and his grandson, Blake, is the quarterback. His younger son, Charlie, is on Larry Coker's staff at UTSA. I think Mark is 62 and just wants to enjoy the year. Curious to see what he does next year.
