The balance of power has shifted in Central Texas. Baseball is now KING.

2012 Jarrell Cougars - REGION IV - D27 CENTRAL TEXAS
2011 Cameron Yoemen - REGION IV - D27 CENTRAL TEXAS
2010 Rogers Eagles - REGION IV - D27 CENTRAL TEXAS
2009 Danbury Panthers REGION IV - SOUTHEAST TEXAS
2008 Salado Eagles REGION IV - D27 CENTRAL TEXAS
2007 Rogers Eagles REGION IV - D27 CENTRAL TEXAS

5 State Championships from the same district in the last six years.

Even though I like what you are saying....I don't think so.
1,300 people at Robinson vs China Spring Regional BASEBALL Final at UMHB.
23,000 people at China Spring vs LaVega Region FOOTBALL Final at the Floyd.

Central Texas has really taken over the 2A scene over the last several years. Many thought it would be a down year for the district, but Jarrell stepped up and took care of business. Looking ahead, I believe the district will be stronger than ever over the next few years. Jarrell is losing 3 solid players, but returns a good core. Cameron Yoe(played Jarrell to two 1-run games) & Salado(had a good run in 3A) were both very young this year and essentially return everything. Their will be a very good chance that the state championship comes through this district, but who will it be???

I would watch out for Central Texas football in 2013.

Probably has something to do with demographics.

Demographics could not be more diverse. BUT.. Jarell, Cameron, Rogers, Salado have one thing in common. The Little River. All of them get their water from either Lake Belton,Stillhouse Hollow or directly from the River itself.
