Just curious about what gets under people's skin.

I can't stand it when people in parking lots hold up a line of cars while they wait for someone to load their groceries and leave as opposed to just finding another place to park.

Sorry 3ADL. I just had to get that out somewhere.

People who go to the "10 items or less" line with a whole basket of stuff and the person working the register doesn't have the balls to tell them to go to another lane. And there I am trying to by my gallon of milk and a new roll of foil (to make hats of course), and I have to wait...

People who drive in the middle lane of a four-lane highway that has no turn lane or other divider, and sometimes they drive slower, too. It makes no sense to me for somebody to drive closer to oncoming traffic like that, especially considering that if somebody crossed over the double yellow lines there would be a whole lot less reaction time. Uncourteous drivers, in general, irk me....

Coming to work yesterday on the 183 toll road, I noticed a car in front of me driving erotically....uhh..I mean erratically....this car was moving into other lanes and came close to causing two accidents without even noticing.......yep, you guessed it. She was about 22 years old, blonde, beautiful, and TEXTING!!.....I got so pissed I pulled up next to her, got her attention, and made some hand gestures for her to keep her eyes on the road....she kinda just smirked at me......but at least I didn't get the finger.....the end is near no doubt....... :bigcry:

no joke!

I might catch hell for this - but obvious, bad grammar is like fingernails on a chalkboard to me! "me and him went to the store", " him and I are going to the store" "her and I" that kind of stuff irritates me. (guess being brought up by an English teacher did that to me) but, to this day, I still have problems myself with "lay and lie" and "good and well" I ask my mother which is right and she gives me this 10 minute explanation and I totally zone out and don't know anymore than I did to begin with.

There are 3 rather "large" women that walk every morning (side-by-side) down the street that I drive on to get to work. EVERY morning I have to drive into the oncoming traffic lane to get around them. Irritates the crap out of me.

Another thing that bothers me is the overweight customers using those motorized carts in stores. If they would try walking and pushing a cart like the rest of us, they might lose a pound or two. Most of them also manage to get handicapped stickers so they don't even have to walk far from their car to get to the motorized cart.....grrrr

Oh, and another thing....people who buy scratch off tickets in stores, hang around, scratch their tickets, go back for more, hold up the line for the people that actually just want to pay for their stuff and leave.

Geez, I have issues...

lol...a couple of years ago this happened to me in the mall parking lot. The damn woman was on her phone and walking right down the middle of the lane. When I was finally getting around her, my girls knocked loudly on my car windows. I proceeded to park at which point she walked over to me and asked me if I had a problem.....

I proceeded to tell her exactly what my problems with her were. I think it is probably the closest I have come in years to an actual "physical" confrontation with a stranger....

Rude inconsiderate ppl in general!

A couple of weeks ago, we get to a parking lot to see our car was totally blocked. Some jerk had parked diagonal across the back of our car. Couldnt open the drivers door either. The lot had security and the guard was there calling a tow truck. I told him the way the wheels were cut that they could not get it out without hitting my car. I was livid enough, but it got better. 2 guys walk toward the car looking at us. I asked if it was their car. It was. I told him he needed to move it, as there was no way I could get out. He said "oh, sorry man" I stood there a couple of more min. The guys kept talking. I came unglued. By then, I insisted they move the car now, in a "not so nice" manor. The security guy stepped in and told the guy he had 15 seconds to move, or police would be involved. Have not been this angry in a long time.

Could it be our age? I find myself being irritated over things that actually should require a level-headed approach, things that used to not bother me.

When I call a "customer service" number, wait 15-20 minutes for a live person, then get cut off, I get angry at the next person I speak with, even though it is no fault of his/hers.

No, it's not the person but the situation the world puts the person in today that causes the ill feelings. Also, it has something to do with this fast-paced "now" society we are living in today. I'm a boomer born in 1954, the Leave it to Beaver and Andy Griffith era where life in these United States was more serene. I'm sure Ron Howard and even the Beave and Wally remember those days fondly. You can't change the world, but you can change the way you live and react in the world. Gee, Wally, I thought Eddie would have at least made it to 65. ( Ron Howard is my exact age of 57).
