Reg. 1
Lubbock Cooper: are they REALLY a dark horse?
Glen Rose: I think they could do OK in D2
Midland Greenwood: will be MUCH improved

Reg. 2
Frisco Lone Star: great QB back, starting to get 4A-like numbers
Dallas Roosevelt: great RB returning, can they handle the coaching change?
Wills Point: returns a bunch

Reg. 3
Taylor: I expect RAPID improvement, Rusty Purser can COACH
Palestine: I think they'll be salty for some reason
Houston Sterling: everyone is talking about Yates, watch out for the Raiders..will late coaching change hurt?

Reg. 4
Cuero: I expect them to be much improved
Kingsville: I think the drop will help them immensely
Hidalgo: dropping down to 3A and getting Scott Ford is HUGE

Keep an eye on Sweetwater---maybe not this season, but in a couple. I like the things I am seeing going on out there. A tradition-rich, win-hungry program with decent participation numbers and a strong top-to-bottom coaching staff will produce results eventually.

Sweetwater will be better, their issue is their district so deep...every team in that district can compete...

What about Melissa, Matt? A Collin Co. school close to McKinney that will do nothing but grow, so they are bound to have a pretty good talent pool. Plus, they do have a 2A DI SC under their belt.

Melissa graduated the house...I think they'll be ok because their district isnt real good but they dont strike me as a playoff threat

We have the Sterling Raiders for homecoming this year... We may also play the Raiders at Rattler stadium next year as well.

I wouldn't consider Van a "darkhorse" in Region 2. I would consider them a contender. Atlanta and Paris I would consider "darkhorses". What's the skinny on Decatur and Bridgeport this year moving into Region 2? Anybody know what these two teams have coming back???
