Wow, no Big 12 teams made it. I really thought Baylor would be able to win their SuperRegional against Arkansas and give us a team to pull for. Didn't watch the final game, but either the Bears ran into a buzz-saw performance by one of the Razorback pitchers, or they went cold at the wrong time with the bats. NO RUNS means you can't win, duh...

they choked with guys in scoring position...baylor's starting pitcher actually pitched a 9 inning shutout but our reliever in the 10th gave up a run....our coach also pulled his usual post season "what is he thinking move" a couple times in the last game but the big one being pulling our shortstop who made one error the whole weekend (albeit the costly one that cost us game 2) for a pinch hitter in the bottom of the 9th with the winning run on second...the pinch hitter was our ace pitcher who had 8 at bats on the season who proceeded to strike out on 3 pitches looking.......of course in the 10th arkansas scored from second on a basehit through the hole between 3rd and short that our starting shortstop routinely knocks down and wouldve held the runner at third....highly disappointing but predictable for a Baylor Baseball team...for whatever reason they always find ways to lose in the post season in games they should win...last year they lost a regional final against Cal (who went on to the college world series) in almost the same manner that they lost game 2 of this super regional by botching a taylor made double play ball...

maybe next year...the Baylor team this year kinda came out of no where to win the conference and be a number 4 national seed...i doubt we will have super high expectations going into next year as well but this year shows that if you get the right kids going on a roll then good things can happen...

yes, I was hoping Baylor made it too...They lost a heartbreaker. Can pin some on coaching and some on leaving RISP...

I think the Aggies lost 8 players to the draft. Not sure the exact total and whether they'll defect or not. Anyone else know anything?

Gotta go with Stony as the underdogs. Wonder if they can keep it up? Would love to see it. Oh and Kent State too.

Watched the LSU-Stony Brook series and came away very impressed with the way they played the game. Hard nosed, disciplined, and hustling everywhere. Their 3-hole hitter (can't remember his name but is a switch hitter) looked really good as did their CF. I believe they said 7 from Stony Brook were drafted while only 5 from LSU. They earned it in a hostile environment. LSU fans are pretty crazy, but I give them credit. After the game the fans cheered both for their team, and Stony Brook. I even saw them shaking the players hands and giving them high 5's in the outfield. I know there are going to be some Stony Brook supporters in Omaha from the bayou. Hope them and Kent St. make some noise. Should be a fun one to watch.
