Ok, splain something to me. I don't know much about Rockdale, but I assume they must be pretty good if both Old Tiger and you are picking them as the winner of Pool A over Navasota (which I can't help but think is a stretch or driven by a little hat )........but why are you picking Houston Kinkaid over Navasota and Bellville? I know Kinkaid did well last year, but in the 2011 SQT I saw them play, the whole team was Ford Childress (now headed to WVA?) and ONE wide receiver. Don't get me wrong Ford and that one WR were awesome, but unless they reloaded with another talented QB and the rest of the receivers step up big time, I can't see them beating Navasota and Bellville. I get that Navasota can't advance past pool play, but I would think they are the favorite, or at least in the top 2 in Pool A. How are you basing your picks?

I believe he thinks that Navasota will probably go undefeated, but he just has who advances as his pool winner and runner-up. With that said, Rockdale should be really improved on offense this year. Brinkley is now a senior, and it appears that they have some good quickness and height as the receiver position.

Navasota has already qualified for state...therefore they can't advance and by rule their games don't count so they really aren't the pool winner..

OK, so you are not including Nastysota. You think Navasota will be undefeated in pool play? What is the thinking behind putting Rockdale in front of Bellville?

Yeah...he needs to head on over to Vegas.

Finals were:

Cameron Yoe 41, Bellville 20
Rockdale won by 3 TD's if I am not mistaken.

I was impressed with what Bremond did. They kind of struggled in the game with us, but they bounced back and beat College Station & Lexington...and then stayed within 3 TD's of Rockdale. Not bad for a 1A DII school.

LOL.......I thought it was obvious I was making that up.
I don't keep track of that kind of stuff, but I am pretty good at picking games.....at least with selective memory!

I wish Bellville had done better today.
They never seem to get it together for 7on7.
They were missing a couple of key receivers, and I heard the qb's were rusty.
What happens starting in August is what matters.

:iagree: I was only ribbing. Aug. through Dec. is where it counts. The Bulls will B ready. I know C. Rowe will make sure of that....

I am amazed that you called this one all the way from Mississauga (near Toronto, right?).
I appreciate the plethora of info you provide and your level headed posts.
Just don't Stepp in it!
