The only smack that will occur between these two teams will be the smack of the Rangers bats, LOL. I realize the Stros are looking like they may be able to contend again, and their young players are doing a good job so far, but this is a series against one of the best if not the best team in baseball.

Haha they're a REALLY up and down team.

I know the Rangers are really good this year but the Astros have a lot of potential

Astros couldn't sweep the Ranger's front porch. lol!!! Rangers will beat them with a heavy stick. Use to be an Astros ticker buyer but i'm still waiting on them to win me over by earning my money. More of a Rangers/Nolan fan but hoping the stro's can turn things around in the future.

I don't think one astro could start for the rangers. The rangers are better at every position lol

Rangers take game 1 4-1 but the Astros come back tonight to take game 2 6-5.

Great finish tonight & game 3 tomorrow night :)

Astros were fortunate. Enjoy it while it lasts!

Astros were fortunate. how so?

If you are referring to the last out of the game in the rundown, it was pretty obvious the correct call was made.

Honestly, I think if anyone was fortunate, it was the rangers. 3 unearned runs and the benefit of that safe call at 2nd base on the double play (again, I think the correct call was made).

I'm just saying that the Astros happen to catch the Rangers while they're playing .500 ball at best.

The Astros are 4-6 in their last 10 including the win last night. Rangers are 5-5 including the loss last night. Astros are fortunate to play the rangers when theyre not on their A game? Well hell, the Astros haven't exactly been streaking lately either.

Maybe it has nothing to do with how the teams have played coming into this game? Maybe the Astros just played a decent game last night?

The Astros are a .500 ball club and the Rangers are not. No one is discounting that the Stros are capable of playing well, they are just not in the Ranger's league at the present. They are still a few years out, if they keep the same approach.

Lyles is getting owned. He's leaving nearly every pitch out over the plate and the rangers are just pounding him so far. Even the outs have been hit hard

I guess that's why we get on this board. So that we can talk crap about our team when we are good....I'd just like to say to all you youngun's, I can remember many a year the Rangers lived in the basement while in a crappy division at that...

But I will admit they are the toast of the state right now and I respect Nolan and what he does. I'd like to see them win it all. Still Doesn't cover up the fact that the field in Arlington is a sauna.:p

It is nice to be able to boast about the Rangers instead of having to constantly defend them for their ineptness, especially after the all-star break.
